135 years, 4 generations of the Spek family, cypresses, blue spruce, rhododendron, azalea and now exclusively roses — from nursery to breeder. Always cultivated and bred with love and care. And brought to market with an eye for maximum value for the customer. Relationships were built and maintained throughout the world.
The number of years our company has existed fills us with gratitude. We have great expectations for the future, for new generations in our family, for new roses that we develop and represent, and for the bonds with our agents, traders and growers.
In 1890 (the nineteenth century!) Jan Spek established himself in Boskoop. In 1990, we received the distinction 'Royal Warrant' from Queen Beatrix. And in 2015 (the twenty-first century) her son King Willem-Alexander extended this honorary title for 25 years! It makes me personally proud, as the great-grandson of Jan, that we may continue this tradition.
